American based Verizon Wireless has won a legal case against a SMS spammer who sent out 100,000 text messages via its network.

Research In Motion (RIM), makers of Blackberry have settled a trademark lawsuit with Samsung over its handheld e-mail device.
The Canadian firm said the settlement included “provisions for the protection of RIM’s valuable trademarks”. RIM accused Samsung of misleading consumers with its rival BlackJack smartphone, which is comparable in design to RIM’s Blackberry device. […]
